I guess if you want hire an illustrator to redraw Kay Nielsen for you, Kate Baylay is your woman. She also does some nice Harry Clarke, Aubrey Beardsley, and Edmund Dulac.

I don’t know why this bothers me, but it might be the statement, “Work that is at once both dark yet almost deceptively decorative springs instantly from the page, with accurate inspiration from the ‘Golden Age’ illustrators immediately impressing the viewer.” What exactly is “accurate inspiration?” One or the other of those words was very poorly chosen.

Even so, if she published a collection of her work, I would buy it because her line work is very lovely.
